Just wanted to let the reefing community here know that I have resigned my position at the Waikiki Aquarium after 13 wonderful and fulfilling years there!

Thanks to all of you who have dropped by over the years and visited us at Waikiki, but I'm afraid you will now have to find someone else to show you behind the scenes! ;-) So please don't email me anymore at the Waikiki Aquarium, as that email address will no longer be functioning soon.

As of July 1st, I will be at the new Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco which opens in Golden Gate Park on September 27th, 2008. The highlight of this aquarium for reefers will no doubt be the 200,000 living reef display, which I believe Matt Wandell has been keeping everyone updated on.

I look forward to seeing you all the next time you come to SF!

Most Sincerely,

J. Charles Delbeek M.Sc.

I'm definitely gonna come up and pay Steinhart a visit when it's up and running :) Sounds like a really exciting aquarium, and lots of Reefs.org folks working there too 8)

Good luck, Charles.

Steinhart sounds great from everything Matt has told us. I can't wait to visit it.

Very cool! My sister has been running the YMCA of Honolulu and said the aquarium there is like 10 minutes from her apartment. I am visiting her in August but I guess I will miss you!

Best of luck! :)

Congratulations on the move. I know it has to be hard though leaving Hawaii. I hope to visit the Steinhart when it opens.

Charles,

Best wishes.

My wife and I met you at the Waikiki Aquarium years ago and you gave us at least an hour of your time with a great tour of the inner workings of the Aquarium.

Knock 'em dead in SF!

Regards,

JohnD

And San Fran was *already* my favorite large city in the US to visit. Yet another reason to go more often. Congrats on the new role! Best of luck!
