My tanks hit 80.4 on the reef, and 85 on the fowlr. Still no A/C in the living room where my tanks are. The house is actually comfortable for humans, reef seems to be OK so far. FOWLR because it is being medicated with Copper Power, and the heat rising I believe it lost quite a bit of oxygen, and I lost my lion. Lost the pbt, but I think that was due to the ich it came down with even though he/she was qt for about two months in another members tank.:arg:
come out to the beach. the water is nice and cold. coney island beach is nice. to many people. nice water to cool off. im not going to talk about rockaway because i dont know how its over ther i dont work there. but enjoy the heat
Here's the really strange thing - it is hotter in NYC than in north FL consistently. And here on the beach, it's windy and quite nice even when it hits 90...
but i'm headed back into the heat very soon.... so i'll be suffering and monitoring my tank with ya'll soon....
Awilda, so sorry for your losses. The tropical tanks at Sea World are all underground/indoors in totally dark ACed rooms... I don't wonder why.
On the other hand, can you imagine the size of the chiller used for Shamoo's tanks to keep the water at 54degrees?????!!!!!! My dad said to me, that's why it costs a freaking $64 to enter the park!!!!!
