Hello,
I would like to add some shrimp to my 25 gallon reef tank.

Here is what's in the tank right now:
1 yellow tail blue damsel
1 talbot damsel
1 baby clown fish
over 30 pounds of LR with plenty of places to hide
a dozen coral (all soft coral and a frogspan)
3 rose anemones

my #1 choice would be a small group of sexy shrimp but I am ready for any shrimp that would fit this system.

One last thing; if the sexy shrimp can fit this tank, do they ship well? I will have to orther them online.

Thanks lot

peppermint shrimp are nice too, and not so spendy.

They get aptasia too if that is an issue - but they do pick on palys/button polyps.

They only pick on palys if you want to keep them, if you absolutely don't want them in the tank, the peppermints will be sure not to touch them :D

Some non-Peppermint Shrimp are sold as Peppermint Shrimp, like Camelback Shrimp (it can be hard for the inexperienced to tell the difference) and it's these that pose the major threat to polyps.

I saw a whole tank filled with camel shrimp at the LFS this weekend labeled as peps....

It is common mistake/scam. The camel have a hump, while the peppermint has a straight back.

Who are you calling inexperienced?

Mine were peps, and they posed a minor threat. :D

What about a Periclemenes sp? It could live quite happily in one of your RBTAs (though that would depend how territorial the clowns are - do they occupy all three interchangeably?).

This is a white spot anemone shrimp from Marine Depot Live.

Cleaner shrimp are great. They can grow much later then pepermints. The pepermints in my tank just hide all the time while the cleaner shrimp stay out in the open most of the time. Plus they can help with disease prevention and repair which is always a bonus.

I would surely recommend the cleaner shrimp. I can't believe the personality that they have. Mine has become so interested in me. I hand feed it everynight. Anytime I clean the tank with my arm in there, he rides along on my arm the whole time. So much fun!!

Same here. I've had Peps in other tanks that were less shy, but the current lot are rarely visible when the tank lights are on...
