I just ordered the dual chamber reactor from BRS. I'm going to be running GFO and Their Lignite carbon in them. I was going to use a Maxi-Jet 1200 to feed it. Is that going to be enough flow through both reactors? Also will it fit the hose that comes with it? Lastly is their a flow adjustment built into these?

Thanks, Jimmy

Yep. More than enough.

Also will it fit the hose that comes with it?

Yep. Nice kit.

Lastly is their a flow adjustment built into these?

Yep. A speed fitting valve that goes post maxi jet.

Thanks, Jimmy[/quote]

Just hooked this reactor up yesterday. What an improvement over the Kent Phosphate reactor I had been using! Nicely designed and made. Very easy to install and its the dual reactor, so I can run the GFO and carbon. Maintenance will be way easier also. Anybody using any of the other reactors out there may want to consider one of these.

Thales, thanks again for the info.

Cheers

Thanks for the review/feedback - I wasn't aware that there was much of a difference between reactor options.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'm looking for a bigger reactor. I think the BRS might be it.

The best ideas are sometimes very simple.

I'm guessing it being a barely adapted RO/DI filter it partly what keeps it so cheap.

I have the single chamber design, I run carbon packed snug over GFO separated with the sponge they provide. Adding a maxijet 900 from them and made it a complete kit. I like the easy serviceability and the bulk carbon and GFO purchased from them makes me real happy about this purchase.

I'm glad I didn't throw out my old RO/DI now! I'm going to go home and see how difficult it would be to DIY a reactor out of it.

BTW...in case anyone has ever wondered ... garage + open door + Colorado + winter + 12 hours of night = blown up RO/DI. And a mad me.
