Stupid SoCal Edison transformer blew, so I'm without power. They expect fix within .... 8 hours :(

I have battery powered circulation, so I'm ok. But this still sucks :P

I'm guessing you're on a UPS for your computer then?

I lost power for 24 hours less than a month ago and I have two of my corals that are slowly receeding.

Power finally came back online 10 hours later, but at least it wasn't overnight (when my tank temp would've plummeted). Tank was ok ... temp only got down to 71, and I had aeration (not much, but some) from a battery powered pump.

My longest time without power for my tank was 6 days. 8O This was after a hurricane. I ran my pumps every few hours off an inverter from my car.

I now feel for anyone who loses power for any length of time.

Sorry to hear Len.

hope things will be fine.

All the easy, intrusive stuff will probably survive.

Sorry to hear about the power outage, that is always a pain in the behind. Last summer after my mom and dad were without power at their house for over a week following a wind storm my dad bought a really nice little Honda generator. I have often thought when I set up a large tank at home again someday, I will include a small generator in the planning phase when I'm doing my pre-purchase cost figuring.

Its a lot worse with hot temperatures (heat wave) plus little/no water movement.

Also I've had my heater crap out on me before and tank got down to 70, this is a full blown SPS tank too, so you should be fine.
