I have a bubble coral that I had for a couple of years. I seems healthy and feeds fine. However it has never gotton the large bubble extension that I see most others have. It gets marble size I would say at best. Does anyone know why this is. I try to keep it in mild current to encourage the extension. Thanks.

Google it and you'll see images. It's very easy to tell the difference between the Bubble Coral and the Pearl Bubble Coral. The Bubble Coral is basically a few big bubbles whereas the Bubble Pearl Coral is a lot more smaller bubbles.

Thanks, Mike. I think mine is a standard bubble. I do not think (I'm at work now) it has the protrusions coming off the bubbles. I'll take a look tonight. One thing most of the literature I found mentioned was feeding. I do not target feed mine very often. Maybe I will try that for a while.

When the flow is too srtong in my tank my bubble coral's bubbles shrink to protect itself from tearing. They tend to get larger in more slack flow.
