So far it looks like all the corals and clams made it. The joculator, clownfish, and blenny are all grazing happily... however, I have not seen the two helfrichi's since last night... hopefully they survived as well :?

Firefish are skittish. I'm sure they're just hiding.

After seeing the tank with clearer water, I say ... you need a little more rock :P

The lights look perfect for the tank.

Actually I'm going to agree with Len now on the need for a little more rock. Maybe only a few pieces on the sand or just building up one of the islands, so it's higher than the other?

Looks very nice. I like the minimal rock work. Do they make the line in other sizes? Do you have link to the website?

Yay found both my helfrichi's today. Apparently they were shacked up somewhere being amorous with each other no doubt. I should take a poll on who thinks I should add more rock and who thinks I shouldnt :)

I totally dig the rockwork and think you should leave it as is. :)

You plan on putting up a backing or leaving the back clear?

Thanks Matt! :) I think I'm gonna try out the bareback look for a little bit... I think it kinda makes the tank look even more open, but we shall see if that effect wears off on me. Does anyone have any recommendations for a small, discreet prefilter-device for the deltec MCE600?

One day after adding water... installed new lights (Finnex 150x2 HQI with 14k phoenix and 2x39w T5)

Moving the photo to page two so I do not have to keep going back to page 1.

The open look would look better if you could move the Deltec opposite the Vortech.

Ya, I think not cluttering all the equipment in one corner makes sense too. And get a surface skimmer box for your skimmer; the inlet is not very pretty, and a black acrylic box would look much cleaner (not to mention help skim the surface).

Hmm....by opposite, you mean on the short wall directly opposite the vortech? I could try that... only thing is the apartment door opens on the left of the tank, so putting the skimmer there might obstruct the view when someone walks into the apartment. I can see how it would make the full frontal view more attractive though... I'll give it a shot, and take a shot :)

I think Len shares my passion for anal outside-the-tank organization. :P

I like using these cord organizers to clean up wires, or you can even use black PVC (flex or pipe) spliced down the middle and use these little pipe clamps to secure them down and keep it nice and straight. You may be surprised how much cleaner it ends up looking.

Well, the good news is I won't need to add any more rock. The bad news is, my tank sprang a leak last night and I had to drain everything, and put all the livestock back in their old tank. All the sand is currently sitting in two buckets on the floor. Hopefully I'll get a replacement soon, and that this was just a fluke... !!!

I'm going to be a smartass and say it was because you didn't add the rock I told you to.
