Good score! I've gone back and recounted btw, all present and correct! 8)

In some ways, I kind of regret that the frag movement is so much smaller in Japan (you can get frags, but they're usually very well encrusted, 5" frags, with several branches that'd probably get sold as small colonies in the US  ), as I like the idea of watching things grow from such a small beginning.

All a bit irrelevant actually, given I won't really be keeping SPS, but you know what I mean. :P

I actually wish the frags here were lust a bit bigger. When they are that small they have a tendency to fall into the smallest of cracks and then are a PITA to get back out. Sometimes they even get blown away or fall off the crazy glue and cannot be found.

It is nice to see Len using his camera again. Hopefully we can see them mounted in the tank.

Funny I always tell myself I am going to make my money back on frags too lol. Nice pick ups i love my chalices. We are gonna have to trade when yours grow out I got some nice rare ones too. My jimmys orange sherbert finally started growing nicely. The Sps are nice too, although watchin the purple monster grow is a long process lmao. I gotta get some new pics on my build thread. Thanks for the updates and pics!

All the frags are in the tank as of 10/14. They're all doing great. My tank is finally stable and has life! I'll take pics this weekend ;)

I meant I updated the first post of *this* thread (my build thread). There's no other (active) threads about my tank.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought this was something to do with new competition threads or something...

I love those frags, Len! You made some great choices. I also like your plan of starting with fewer, to allow them all more space to grow. I tried that myself, but it didn't last long. Restraint isn't really my strong suit.

What's the story on those Trimma gobies? Sounds like they stay pretty small.

Ya, the trimmas stay tiny. They're like little fleas in my tank. I'm surprised my tang didn't eat them (but it did investigate :P). They don't grow bigger than about an inch. Here's my 1 x Trimma rubromaculatus sitting on the rock. It's about 3/4" long. The T.cana is too chicken to stay out in the open long enough for me to shoot a photo of, but the T.rubromaculatus is very brazen and always out.

Not the best pictures, but some full tank shots I took today. Colors aren't really right due to me just using "auto color" correction in PS (tank should look more blue IRL), but I didn't want to fidget around with PS today ;)

And my left side of the tank (viewed from the front of the tank, not side like the previous photo)

That scrolling thing in the middle right is my original watermelon chalice trying it's best not to die from the abuse of the previous tank. I think parts of it are going to make it. Most of it was totally bleached by the time it made it into the rebuilt tank, but I see green and pink sprouting up in a lot of spots now, though there is also tissue necrosis in other spots.

Last shot for now. This is the top of the vertical pillar on the right side. You can see the pink lemonade purple monster, efflo, lime in the sky, and red planet that are going to cover this part of the tank :)

Looking very clean. It's gonna look great once everything grows out.

You made me realize I need less rock. Also, just to let everyone know, I found Len his crazy scolymia. :D

I noticed you positioned your vortechs in the center of the side walls instead of near the back wall. I think that's a good change. Should they be lower though? Seems like most of the flow will be near the top, especially since you have a pretty tall tank (30"). You should have enough surface agitation from your returns. So your 1262 is feeding 2 oceans motions dual omni-nozzles?

I still can't believe you're posting tank pics. It's almost too good to be true. That's a sick scolymia... super nice pics!!

Yeah. How 'bout a close up of the scoly!
