Just as a FYI to everyone: this month we're featuring a Kindle / Nook / eReader edition of Advanced Aquarist. If you own any of these eReaders or use the Kindle / Nook app on your Android or iOS device, we'd love to hear your feedback!

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but using my Evo I went and grabbed the Kindle reader from the Android Marketplace & fired it up (registering w/ my Amazon login..) Attempting to download the .mobi my Evo barks that there isn't an app associated with the file & going to "Downloads" from the Android browser & attempting a manual launch I get no love either..

Using a file browser I can get Android to ask me what app I would like to use to open the file but it doesn't offer up the Kindle reader as an option.

Edit: Nook does not appear to play well either. - Oh well, browsing with the Android browser works fine..

I'm surprised the Evo Kindle app is not working properly for you. The .mobi file was generated with Amazon's "kindlegen" software and from what I can see, it renders fine on the Kindle 2 (which I have), the Kindle 3 (which my wife has), through Calibre, and using the Kindle desktop app on my WinXP laptop. Color me confused!

Manually moving it using a file manager did the trick!

Just another FYI update after I took a few more minutes to look it over:

Lots of FC's (Force Close / aka: app crash) but I think thats more the Android Kindle app's fault than anything to do with the export.

I still can't get the Android Nook app to see the file. - I gave up and removed it.

Can't play the linked video on the Evo either. - Trying to gets a Kindle FC and the Android browser of course chokes on the Quicktime video as well.
