Softy polyp Id

Any of you know what these guys are? They seem to reproduce by detaching themselves and colonizing new areas. Or by spreading a pipeline fleshy matrix across the rock and sprouting from it. They are about 1/2 inch tall and resemble little miniture palm trees. They capture particles in the water.

Can't see them too well, but I guess they are either clove polyp, or some type of Xeniideae.

All I have ever heard them called is "clove polyps" Clavularia sp.
