i wanted to know if any one ever used or know about this skimmer

An added question, are coralife skimmers good? And part 2 of the question, what is the difference between a venture skimmer and a needle wheel skimmer?

NAUTILUS is supposed to be a fair ratted skimmer it is a favored skimmer at Reef Encounters here in Hackensack,NJ . BUT they feel flimsey and look poorly constructed in person i suggest that you vist a shop that has one and see it before you purchase.

the coralife skimmer is a much better choice if that is your options.

how about this question.
what is the difference between a venture skimmer and a needle wheel skimmer?

I have a Coralife skimmer in my sump. They have a large footprint (takes up most of my sump). Not the greatest construction in my opinion but they have a good customer service dept.

A needle wheel skimmer uses a venturi to draw air into the pump where it is finely chopped with the needle wheel and mixed with water. Then it flows into the reaction chamber.

A venturi skimmer uses a venturi valve such a mazei injector to draw air directly into the flow of water before it hits the reaction chamber.

Of the two, the needle wheel has proven to be the most effective.

If I were you, I would look into a recirculating Octopus skimmer.
