Humu Trigger feeding and reef compatibility

What is the best food to feed humu humu triggers? Seems tough to find hard foods for their teeth. I’ve fed mine hard shell shrimp but they just eat around the shells and go for the soft part.
Also are they reed safe? I’ve heard many say no but see many coral filled tanks with them on YouTube. I want to start with experimenting with frags to slowly expand into corals in my FOWLR that I’ve had for about 12 years.

Try silversides, mine loved pieces of that.

Like most fish they could be fine for a while and then one day they develop a taste for corals!! Clams, krill, shrimp, silversides are all good foods.

I assume putting a giant clam in my tank would be out of the question then! Lol I’ve fed clams on half shell in the past and some giant shrimp. Thanks for the suggestions.

Prob wont bother coral but will eat critters for sure. Feed clams and muscles
