Does this part have a film over it that need to be removed? I don’t think so but making sure

Hey - none of my Primes have a film but the "glass" or whatever it is, does feel a bit coarse. Hope this helps.

I use the david saxby slightly modified. It has done very well on my tank.

I would think at 24watts it would be too weak but all corals took a liking to it and showing greath growth and color.
