L O U D tunze ATO pump

I hate the Tunze Osmolator pump- it’s too loud! Besides spending $80 on their adapter to use other pumps, is there a less expensive way around this?

I have been using this little pump for over a week and i have no complain yet . It's really quiet

Is the pump recent? Is it pulling air in? I have only problems with them once they get a couple of years in them, or if they run dry. Otherwise they are very quiet.

I have one old pump and one brand new pump. Both loud af. I shake both inside the reservoir so there’s no air in them. Even if I have the pump suspended inside the reservoir not touching any sides, it’s still loud. I was able to quiet it down a bit by setting the controller to the lowest setting. But still loud.

No way. This ATO def not worth it due to noise.

What kind of noise are you getting? Like a whizzing sound? That's the only thing I get when they are getting old.

Agree with noel. The Tunze pump is so loud. My tank is in the basement (fully insulated) and I can hear the pump turn on from my living room.

Maybe I will try lowering flow to the lowest setting but not holding my breath.
