Limpets.

Ok. Been on the hobby in and out for about 8 years. I see a lot off limpets on my rock work. Helping as a cuc I guess. Algae is under control. The question is how much is too much and should I be worrying for the future of the tank if would like at start adding sticks(sps) to the tank? What would be a natural predator? Thks.

Unless you hate them, keep them. As for predators any of the snail species similar to the oyster drill would work, easy to find during low tide on rocks, they start pretty small, I use them for their shells, since they are not reef safe, preying on other shellfish. A local mud crab would also work, though they would eat any small snail, the size of a pea. I keep a few in my quarantine setup. They also eat other shellfish, but don't effect corals or fish.

Thks for the info. As they are helping with cuc I’ll keep a eye out. For now. They are all baby ones no bigger that an 1 to 2cm.
