Hello everyone I live in Brooklyn and I was wondering if the 4 stage BRS RODI for $150 is good for nyc tap water my girl wants to buy it for Valentine’s Day does anyone use that particular model and is it worth the price just want to hear some real reviews before purchase

I would get the water saver model with two RO filters. Not sure if Brooklyn water is the same as Manhattan. You should be able to look up NYC water reports online. I bought a 6-stage BRS and eliminated 2 canisters to make a 4 stage. I would guess it's more than enough.

Brooklyn and Manhattan water are the same (all 5 boroughs are).

Thanks everyone I ended up ordering the spectrapure it was on sale on saltwater aquariums for $160 only $10 more than BRS thanks for the input

It basically the same as the brs with the exception that it’s rated for 90 gpd vs 75 on the brs one but the filters are interchangeable. If you want to upgrade it with any brs parts you can.

Thanks I do wanna get the flush kit it’s just that spectrapure for $10 more had a pressure gauge so I opted for that
