Can I put live sand and dry rock in a tank together? I’m starting a new tank and I’m not sure if I could do this?

Idk I’m just starting in this hobby and I have no idea what I’m doing lol so it’s ok? Would it speed up the cycling process

Absolutely. I would encourage you to not focus on speeding up any processes in this hobby, including your cycle. It leads to a mentality where we add x and y products to band aid fix issues, which ultimately leads to increased variables and possibly even deeper problems.

Ok gotcha don’t try to take short cuts. I just didn’t know if I could put live sand with dry rock in the tank at the same time. Now I know I can everything else I do is going to be by the book. I always try to do things the right way not the fast way
