FINALLY GOT THE 350 BUILD ROLLING AFTER A FEW MONTHS SET BACK!!!

I’ll be posting pics and comments as I move from my 55G Petco 40B to a 100G Red Sea Build. I’ll be moving away from the standard Red Sea layout and attempt to adopt modern Reefing tech and incorporate it into my system. I’ll provide a break down of my though process for the build and welcome tips and ideas as I move along.

Break down

Tank: Red Sea Reefer 350 (48x18x20)

Sump: Trigger (36x15x16)

Lights: Radion XR15 & ReefBrites 50/50

Will be update as I go along.

The stand

I had a really hard time deciding whether to buy a metal stand, or build one from scratch. I was really interested in the T-slot system but at the end of the day i was going to have to shell out a few bucks to have one ordered and delivered.

I Went to Home Depot picked up a few 2x4s and some ply wood. Build the stand to fit the dimensions of the tank.

I used wood filler to smooth out the rough areas and sanded the bad boy down. Painted the stand and added a poly coat to water proof the paint and wood.

Total $$$ spent was around $150

( any questions welcomed )
