So took a ride to Pennsylvania, had just started using t5s on same outlet as apex. I guess it was pulling to much from one outlet and breaker went off on the out let so tank shut down completely. I also left ac on in living room. By the time i got home temp was in the 60s lost couple fish. 2 cleaner shrimp, japanese swallowtail, midas blenny, sixline, the rest survived. Sps started stn and the ones that are not are browned out. Situations like this make me want to quit. Is there any way i can save the little bit of sps i have left or do i have to let it go thru the motions?

Not as bad as what I did, I had a bag of butterflies in a cooler last summer, it was 90+F that day, so I dropped a frozen ice pack in, all the fish died by the time I got home 2 hours later. The water was in the 50s. With hindsight, the ice pack was 4 x the size I usually use, and still frozen when I used it, whereas in the past, it should've been slushy. heh

Yeah thank God most fish survived but tank back now just not to many corals yet, just a torch and zoas, but everything looks healthy.
I’m shocked some things died. It wasn’t colder? I’ve had several heaters go opposite over the years and kill just about all. Once I had a heater stop working in a garage and it went to 50s.. lost a shrimp and no lps or softies died.
Two days ago I shut my heaters on the big tank off and didn’t turn them on by mistake. Tank went from 75 (where I keep it) to 69 but gradually.. it’s back to 75 lost nothing.
This hobby can really be a bummer.. don’t even think about it and get right back on board.. we are always going run into problems.. I think of it as ecosystem where there are “storms” and things we can’t change, then rebuild,. Otherwise you can’t drive yourself nuts! Good luck!
