easy to harvest plenty of amphipods from the long island sound right now. Just grab a bucket full of floating ulva, and you'll have thousands of amphipods. I have a permanent colony of them in my 75 gallon setup, they build these muddy tunnel type nests in overflow and other protected areas. They also colonize gravel beds. With these guys, I'm able to support 4 pairs of dragonettes, located in the main 75 and in the sump/refugium. The females are also egg laden, however I don't know what the lunar cycle trigger is to get them to spawn.
