Flow for a 80 gallon frag tank ?

I have a 80 gallon frag tank what flow would you put on it ..the tank is 48x24 × 14 ...its been a while since i had to buy a powerhead/wavemaker ..i usually go with mp40 and 60 ..but was thinking maybe trying a gyre or tunze any suggestions

Charlie I have a lowboy frag tank with similar dimensions just not as tall. I’m using a pair of Nero 3s. They are 2000 gph each and the return so something alittle more and you’ll be good.

Funny u mentioned nero3 .i have one on there now and feel it does nothing .maybe i woukd need to add another .just figured something alittlw stronger and i can tune it down if i need to

Since the tank is long and short , Gyre is the best. I recommend the icecap gyre 2k, 1k will do but probably 2 on each side. You planning to use it for growing sps frags?

i have 2 6105's in my 4' 120 turned down to 40% on 12 volts. mine are older they came with 12, 18 and 24v chips. higher volts more flow. if you call roger at tunze he will help you. if you need his number LMK

Either dial down the 6105 or 6095s…Premium Aquatics has them on sale….
