New Rock Scape

So I completed the first half of redoing my aquascape. I took out the pile of rock and replaced it with the biggest AquaRoche fixture. Remounted all the corals and I’m hoping that I don’t get crazy swings causing me to loose all my stuff. Big thanks to CHALAN for the help.

Looks good i did the same with mine. i swapped out half put some rock in my sump. Waited 2-3 weeks and then did the other side. Added some biodigest to help with any bacteria i may have lost and didn't have any swings or issues.

I added a big media reactor three months ago filled with media balls to hold bacteria. Dosed doctor Tim’s twice. I cut my alk dosing by 25% today so I don’t get a huge swing thinking that my corals will not be in full growth mode and absorb less alk for a few weeks. I have trident so I’ll keep an eye on it and adjust accordingly. I really can’t express how much I really love the look of the aquaroche fixture. So much space to mount corals and it’s so open really increases flow. Big thanks to a Ryan at Island Fish and Scale for getting me all my gear at great prices. I’m very lucky they’re so close and always willing to stop everything and give me information.

Thanks guys. Famous last words but so far so good. No real casualties (lost my red carpet to an mp60 because it wasn’t happy with the new flow patterns and decided to move and I guess lost its footing. Lucky I caught it before it poisoned the whole system). I lowered my alk dose by about 30% to avoid any swings and it has kept my levels stable. Can’t wait to get the other side done.

Tomorrow I will be doing the other half. If anyone wants live rock it will be available by noon. Take whatever you want and pay me whatever you feel is fair. I also have lots of dry rock. I’m posting for sale a huge og bounce and a number of baby Godzilla bounces. From very small ($100) to medium ($200) I just need a day or two to ensure they will thrive on the plugs. They usually do.
