I have a 24G Aquadpod, that came with the standard hood w/built-in lights. As it seem these lights are not doing my zoos & shrooms any justice. So, I would like to replace the lighting with a fixture.

  • Mounting legs.
  • Low to Medium price.
  • Less heat, is a plus!
  • Help corals grow faster
  • Not looking for pendant
  • No hamilton fixture
What would you recommend T-5 or MH? Currently, there is shrooms, several zoos & anemone with 2 clowns & 21 lawnmover blenny. I would like to keep the following corals: acan, micromussa. There will be no SPS in this tank.

Your input will be most appreciate.

Thank you

well they dont make a 75w and i dont think a 250 is overkill depending on what you plan to keep in it. i love my 150w mh but think i could use the 250w for some of my sps

250W results. I guess it is overkill, I mean I have had no results with it after about 2 months.

They use to make a 75 watt DE MH, That is what I have on my nano, bought 9 months ago. Chief nice pics still think 250 w is overkill though. For all the LPS in there 75-150 would do the job well as proven by your second pick. i was just going off experience with my 90 G and the 250's I run on that tank which is SPS only. If a 90 gets great results with 250's then a 24 is getting a ton extra of light using the same wattage. Is all that extra light really being utilized especially in a mixed reef? Just my two cents.
