in-tank specimen container

I seen somthing similar to that in a store flatbush and flatlands I think it world class not sure of the name but it is sold to hold fresh water batas it stick on to the inside of the tank and I think it was only $10

yea i got one of those. it is made for breeding freshwater fish since they are much smaller, but i just floats on top of the water. i would think it would stress salt water fish being cramped in like that

A breeder container is fine. Just make sure there is ample circulation in it. I drilled a bunch of extra holes in the sides of mine and used it as a timeout for bad fish and an isolation chamber for new fish. I broke it trying to drill more holes in it LOL so be careful.

Why do you want to isolate the fish before you put them in your tank?
A tiny contain like that would end up stressing them needlessly and increase the likelyhood of them jumping from it.
If you are adding wrasses to a tank that already contains one or more wrasses, you should only be adding ones that are compatible with each other or you'll have problems in the long run i.e. fighting & more desire for them to jump.

They are best introduced after your lights have gone out for the night. (and after QT'ing them...)
