My 2 cents: Dont spray the back glass of the tank. Instead work on arranging the rockwork like the RC thread. The foam background looks unnatural and does not provide depth to a tank.

If you decide to spray the back glass listen to SIReefer and practice first. From what I have heard from several people who have tried it, its not as easy as it looks to get the desired affect.

Good luck.

I was thinking of applying it to eggcrate outside of the tank, instead of directly to the tank. From what I've read eventually it loses it's grip on the glass and just floats on up.

The only problem with doing it the way that the thread above does it is that I don't have dead rock. Trying to do that with my LR is only gonna lead to die off and a mini-cycle I don't wanna have to deal with. I think I might go the jhale route and aquascape with islands, using acrylic rod to hold the structure together.

That way would be a lot easier and still look really good.

Whatever I decide to do i'll document the process :)

LoL I'm kinda leaning with Don on this one, I might have liked it in DRZL's tank but i just might not be for me.

Thanks for the link Jim. Andres definately had a good thing going with that tank, I really liked it, but i don't know if i'd be able to get something that nice looking.

I looked back at jons thread on the pillars and i like what i see there. I think i'm going to go that route since its reasonably easier :).
