I was wondering if anyone knows wat the ratings for the overflows on tanks are, like on a typical 75 gallon tank, how much water can the overflow take before it begins to not wrok properly. Pretty much wat im asking is, what's the highest amount of water I can run back up to my display tank before it starts overflowing out of the tank itself

I could be wrong and people will jump in if i am, but if I had to guess i would say 650 gph is safe. If you can tell us the size of your drain we can be more specific.

Hi Guys,
I Had A 75g With An Overflow From A 350 Wet& Dry It Had A 1" Drain. I Was Running A Mag 7 And It Worked Fine. I Put A Mag 9 To Get More Flow And It Was Ok Untill The Alge Started Too Grow In The U Tub Water All Ofer The Place!!! So I Think You Should Stick To A 700gph Pump If Its A 1" Drain
