Hello, I use Crystall Rock Water for the last 4 years. I have battled differnt types of algae all this time, so maybe its not so good. They call the water "premium' water, with added Mg, K+, and Ca2+. I cannot understand this

Just some stuff ive read in the past on the topic.

Isn't smart water expensive? I would go broke changing 10+ gallons every 2 weeks and water for top off if i was buying the RO/DI.

The problem with vapor distilled is that while yes its super pure water with no dissolved, sometimes the storage containers and drain tubes and sometimes the collection pan is copper. For that fact alone without calling the company to check i would be weary.

also there is that discussion about the polarity of the molecules beeing out of wack since its not put through a ionization process and causing stress on fish.

Look through RC and the other sites. Alot of information on RO/DI vs Kata-ani vs distilled vs tap.

Yeah and if you collect the waste water the ro/di puts out you can use it for watering your garden or watever else you have use for it.:scratchch

If you are softening the water (usually whole-house) before the RO, there is elevated levels of sodium, or potassium, depending on the type of salt in the softener. This is consentrated along with other removed contaminants in the RO waste water. It would probable kill your plants. Maybe you would flush toilets with it. This "waste" topic is the down side of RO units. But, still the lesser of two evils.
