ideas for commercial lobster tank filtration

i have someone asking me to help design a filtration unit for thier lobster/live seafood tank in a large supermarket....

i dont seem to find much on the net but wondering if any members have experience with this type of stuff and give me a few ideas...
im guessing it wont be like the sumps that i have for my home aquariums...but maybe similar?
i seen a few units and it looks very simple....just basically crushed coral/dolomite for biological and filter floss...

Of course that would be too expensive, how about bio balls? You can make a partition on the side of the tank with overflow and return pump.

from my understanding, they have a service bringing in nsw (dont know how often) for these tanks. i dont think they use any filtrations.

Bare bottom torture chamber with a chiller should do just fine, about 250-350 if your talking supermarket.

I highly doubt they use a service for NSW. They sell chilled lobster/trout/salmon tanks which are all in one units and used by most food places as holding tanks for their lobsters.

Yup, all the real ones I have seen, with huge chiller. No need for NSW, hard to get real salt water in the middle of the country. They use these large sacks of artificial sea salt, not the same stuff used in our tanks.

Just Kidding with my last post, I'll be the first to boil them up.

As far as the chiller Cali is correct, it will have to be huge.

It's amazing how long they can live with no water at all, just kept cold and moist.
