sand ???

Hey guys and Gals,

I am thinking of add about 1.5" of this Pink sand to my new 100g square build. The concern I have is that I will have a OM 4 way closed loop powered by a Dart with eductors on the out puts. Will this cause a sand storm?

why are you using the eductors ? the flow coming out should be more than sufficient i also am setting a new set-up tommorrow with a closed loop and going to have about 2" of sand its more of the getting the flow correctly aimed and let the sand settle

if you're going to use the Fiji pink,blend it with a the slightly coarser reef sand from Carib sea.

The eductors aren't necessary, IMO like Noob mentioned - that's good enough flow IMO.

Ok... so if I don't go with the eductors... should I y of each out put so in stead for 4 output I'll have 8???

will that help with the sand storm effect?

I think 4 would be best - 8 seems like allot of locline in there.

Is your return pump the only means of internal flow?

other than the sump retune... yes. the return pump is a mag 9.5
