what wavemaker do you use or recommend

I have a 125 reef 1000gph return pump on a sea swirl in the center and a closed loop consisting of a mag 18 and a sea swirl on each end of the tank .
I recently bought a mod for the mj1200 power heads and love it so I'm thinking of killing the closed loop and getting a mj Mode on each end of the tank with an alternating pattern from a wave-maker the problem is i don't know which wave-maker to get . Is the soft start one going to stop the rattle noise you hear when the mj mode starts ? I wouldn't want to hear the start up noise every 20 seconds that the PH turn on and off.

After my 5 yr old sea swirl stopped occillating(sp) I went with a scwd. It works great and uses no power.

IMHO they're all good for different reasons
