I'm not 100% sure. I tried phyto and grinded flake food. I failed with both. There may have been other factors that caused the failures though. They definitely won't eat seaweed. They may eat micro algae if you can grow it in the tank.

progress

well i addaed 1 bottle of tigger pods last night and they seem to be swimming around happily. they immidietly seemed to nest in the seaweed.
I put a few drops of food in and i guess time will tell what happens next
if anybody know what the optimum temp for breeding is, that would be great info

Any update with your culture?

I started my own culture 2 weeks ago in a 5 gallon tank and have seen an increase in the number in tigger pods already. :tongue1:

My Tank is teaming with pods. I built a sump for a 72 bow front i have.
I am going to move the whole 5 gal tank into the fuge section of the sump.
Try putting some cheato in your 5 they seem to like to live in it.

I will try that... What did you end up adding as a food source?

Ive been using 'Marine Snow' and throwing in some flake every so often. Seems to work so far.

I now have most of the tank full of cheato and i feed cyclopeeze once or twice a week. and phyto feast
some of the cheato i got from locojazz during his tank breadown.
so now i have copepods, amphipods, bristleworms, that ive seen so far.
i cant wait to add it all to my fuge
