i have the same problem before did everything u went through plus bought Hanna meter, run 3 phosban reactors, change all new bulbs, run 2x620 seios, tunze 6045, tunze 6025 and wave sea on my1260 return, 20%water chance every week still no help. then i stop wc for 4 months and it finally went away. i'm not sure that fix the problem but ur right the more wc the more algae.

Here are the pictures from yesterday. I am about to scrub the algae off the rocks and siphon it out into a filter sock. and put back the same water. i removed most of my cheato because it was collecting a little detritus. still looking for the root of my problem

so things are getting better. I i took a maxi jet with a hose attached and put it to a filter sock inside of my tank. i stirred every thing up all detrius and algea from the rocks and filtered the water. after that my phosphates were not zero anymore it went to 0.03 on the salifert test. the growth has stopped so far.

And i also got the vortech mp 20. its keeping all the dertius supended . working great

I never had an outbreak until I dosed with phytoplankton (DT). I'm convinced this started my problem. All the advice given above is necessary to eradicate my problem. I'm noticing hair algae now that I have upped WC. I guess I'll stop the WC and try to increase flow.

i have i 6 stage 125 gallon a day ro/di.i had it for about 7 months. tds is still 0 and the di beeds are the color changing ones. i have two di catridges and only 1/3 of the first cartridge has chaged color so i am assuming they are still good.

Thanks

There are a ton of things i can say...but let me sum it up by saying your problem is most likely phosphates....nutrient export is the key !!! I have a meter for your phosphate levels.....if you are ever around ehlmhurst queens i would be more than happy to test your water....let me also assure you that it will be an eye opener when you get the results...:splitspin
