My 155 has been running for two years. i had a 3 inch crocea for over a year, one morning the shell was completely cleaned out, a few months ago i bought a 2 inch crocea on friday, sunday morning it was cleaned out. i bought another 2 inch crocea at the last swap, last weekend it was cleaned out over night. but at the same time i havehd two derasas for a very long time and they are fine. any ideas what could be doing this?

You'll have to let us know what tank inhabitants you have. Some crabs will eat clams, some tangs/Morrish idols/ Regal angels will pick at them, a confused clown will try to host it and if you have a blenny or hawk that like the spot you placed the clam they might perch Fish that also eat clams are
Once your clam starts to die off all of the scavengers will finish the clam usually in one night depending on how many scavengers you have but please tell us what tank inhabitants you have.
Another clam enemy I know of is the whelk/conch but they are known to eat one clam a month . Hope this helps
