octo dnw-150 skimmer gate valve?

I have a octopus dnw-150 skimmer and i would like to add a gate valve to it for finer adjustment. I found out that the pvc is metric and my local hd/lowes doesnt carry any metric pvc. Does anyone know where i can get a metric gate valve either locally on long island or online for my skimmer?

just do what I did, shave down the inside of the connecting standard pvc and shave down the outside the metric pipe of the skimmer. They're not really under any pressure so it'll hold up. you have to shave off about 1/2 mm from each.
