another important aspect of SCH80 pipe that they didnt mention it's also rated for outdooor use above and below grade. I'm not 100%sure but it's UV rated also

How about SCH40 in black? I have been to HD and Lowes (in Westbury) and haven't found any black SCH40. DO they even make it?

I want to use black as the intake for my closed loop feeding a DART. I think the black will stand out a lot less then white.

black is ABS plastic and not recommended for pressure applications.
only DWV drain waste and vent. it's a cellouse pipe used to deaden the sound of the water running through it. when you cut it and look at the edge it looks like foam rather than solid pipe

Krylon makes plastic paint to paint the PVC furniture dont know if it willl chemiclly weaken the pipe though

they do make black pvc parts and pipes, check out savko.com

I used some for my tank, I went with an all black theme, background, marinaboard, eggcrate racks for the rocks, and visible fittings. they also have black spaflex.
