Hello all:

I have a medium CPR Aquafuge on the back of my 28 BF reef.
I use it as a fuge as well as a location for my Tunze 9002.

It works great and seems to be perfect for my skimmer but I have a significant problem with bubbles come out the exaust which burst in the tank and coat my T5 reflectors in overspray. So much so that I need to claen the reflectors every other day.

I have seen that CPR has some kind of bubble box that can be added to the exaust but would really prefer not to add another item inside the display.

Anyone have any experience with this, any solutions?

If you ended up using the bubble eliminator box did it do the job?

Thanks

The CPR comes with a mesh material that helps diffuse the bubbles. It does work well, try one of those. It slips over the outlet, like an upside down hat.

Is that for the skimmer or the refugium. Ive seen mesh bails that go inside the CPR skimmer body but not that go over the exasut tube in the tank proper.

Do you have a link to this mesh hat?

I have the CPR and it doesn't come with that hat...unless he meant the one that has an integrated skimmer. I have the plain old HOB CPR fuge but no problems like that with bubbles. I know I'm not contributing much but wanted to jump on this thread.

Good luck.
