Acropora polyp,different colours?.

I have taken many pictures of many Acroporas but have never come across one that shows a few very different colour polyps like the one below.We still have this Acro and it still has just a few blue polyps here and there,the rest are greenish.Any of you guys seen this before?if you have please add pics below.

Yup, I have the same coral
Here's mine shortly after I fragged it so the tip looks a little weird, but colors are still the same

Very cool photos! I had a couple of acros that did that in my old tank. They were colonies of A. austera and A. verweyi, and both had blue polyps at the tips with other colored polyps on the branches.

Many corals do this(Or so it seems) when polyps are new, the colors are different than when they mature...I have had many acans that do this, and then the colors change as each polyp gets larger.
It seems that both of you have the "blue" polyps at the top, so they are "new"...does that make sense?

The blue polyp's are much more defined in the new growth, so I would say yes. As the polyps get older, the blue goes away
