Marco Rocks!

Hello,

Yes, I and other MR members have used them. I liked them and they really make for some nice aquascaping. Mines took a while to cycle but that was expected. Over time mines colored up nicely. Just seed them with some live rocks and you'll be fine.

Good Luck

Marco Rocks!

Xavier,

Check out my old thread there are some photos of the Marco Rocks and the nice aquascaping that can be done with them. The photos are from the beginning when I first set the tank up. In the photos they're right after the cycle but over time they colored up nicely. Check out the website or some local MR Vendors may have some acrylic rods to make aquascaping easy.

Good Luck :approve:

They come from the sea.
They're much lightweight then your average rock, and they're "softer" as well which makes cutting into them easier (goes in like butter with a dremel). By no means is it easy to break with your bare hands though

i have some and they look great....plenty of holes for frags and plugs. they are dried up see rock so cycle them just like live rock as there is plenty of dried up organics in this rock that need to be cured before adding to your system

I think they were part of the ancient coral reefs thousands of years ago, but now just part of the coast lines as Rick said.
Marco rocks shared a booth with a friend of mine, Bob (exotic fish and coral in Ct.) so I was specking to the people from Marco for awhile (hours)...The rock is mined from underground, the same material that the state of florida uses in road construction! They insist, however, that their area of mining is a cleaner rock, with LESS phosphates than the usual areas. The rock should be cured!
