LEDS not coming on..

So my lights go on this morning on my jbj 28 led but i notice that my dawn/dusk dont come on.. i check them out and they are dead! this tank is a week old and its already crapping out! any ideas or suggestions what it could be. I call jbj and they made me fill out a eform and i have to wait to hear from someone within 24-48 hours.
I did some investigating and noticed that i think one of the four lights is the problem.. if i tap that one led the four leds flicker. so i am assuming it cant be the ballast? once a ballast goes--can it flicker? i also notice that the 4 leds are actually on but giving off a tiny bit of light. nothing noticeable unless u turn off all the lights ..

not many people on here are expierenced with LED.give it sometime someone who knows this will eventually chime in.we try not to give advise on things we dont understand.

I doubt it's the ballast.

Probably the wiring is loose because all the LED's are connected. Because it's so new I wouldn't open anything up and just let JBJ take care of it.

Agreed, you spent your hard earned money on their product let them repair or replace it. Just stay on them and if they fail to rectify the situation let everybody here know, alot can be said about a company by how their customer service department resolves issues.

i think its exactly that- when i tap that one led they all flicker on. havent heard back from jbj as of yet

If it were your ballast nothing would happen period whether you tap them or not.- Dont know about LED's but flourescent ballasts stink something fierce when they burn up, so if you didnt smell any funky odors would not think ballast, plus the lights WILL come on for a sec when you tap like stated before sounds like a bad connection in a bulb thats ran in series --the good old christmas light string dilemma.
