Looking to get some input from radium users out there.

I'm running 2x150 de radiums and IMO it just looks horrible. All of my greens look pale. This is just the radiums only. I see a hint of yellow and purple.

I thought radiums would give a nice crisp white look with a hint of blue....

anyone else out there using 150de radiums on an ice cap ballast?

have heard that radiums run best on 250-400 watt ice cap ballast or lumatek for best color and par on the bulbs. i am running one 150watt phoenix 14k on my current outorbit fixture and the color i get from it is sick. my other bulb is a current 14k. might wanna give the phoenix a try IMO.

I use 250 SE Radium on older icecap ballast, i kinda like the color after the first three months.

I have some none-color corrected picture in my cube tank thread. Pictures of the tank with auto white balance makes the tank way bluer than it is.

I have to post a pic of my tank with the radiums

It looks horrible IMO the greens look very dull and nothing pops

I hope the pheonix 14ks will be better

For any of you out there running 150w e-ballasts which bulb produces a nice white crisp color with a hint of blue?

Even with the actinics and halides on it doesn't look great

Maybe I got a bad batch of bulbs

They really look like they are burning yellow to me

maybe I should hook up a kill a watt meter to see what is pulling

Thanks for all the responses

Pics will be up soon
