Today i discovered that my Red Sea Convict Tang has some kind of extension (worm like) grow out from his belly. I cannot put medication in to the tank because it is a mix fish and reef tank. Copper will kill everything else beside the fish. Should I try to catch the fish and give it a fresh water bath? will this kill the parasite? I am not sure what to do, please advise.
PS
I have attached few pictures of this thing.

A cleaner shrimp or cleaner wrasse would make a quick meal of it, that's what they do for a living. What ever you do ,find out exactly what it is and never put meds in your DPT.

No fish were added to the tank for a long time. I think that parasite came with sea weed that I catch in the ocean and feed to my Tangs. The Royal and "YES" Sailfin, thanks for pointing out.
I do have a fire shrimp that performs cleaning services and the past two days this tang comes more often to him for cleaning. For some reason it cleans everything else even goes in to tangs mouth, but fails to clean this bastard parasite.
No other fish show any stress or same visual symptoms.
I will watch the tang closely and if the push come to shove I might take him out and give him a fresh water bath.

Does anyone know how long this fresh water bath should last to kill the parasite and not to harm the fish?

Thanks to everyone for the advice.
