OK. I have a little problem. I started breaking down the 300 gallon setup that I have inherited. In doing so, I began taking the rocks out in order to drain the tank and move it. As I removed the rock, I noticed that the rocks were INFESTED with FIREWORMS. Lots and lots of big FAT fire worms. The largest I found was about a foot long and about 3/4" wide. I think the big ones have crawled out as the rock was on the floor for a little while. Otherwise there are others roaming all over the rock. It sucks because the rock has been in the tank for a LONG time. There are a lot of large tonga pieces and I think there are some large pieces of jakarta rock (I think that's the rock that is no longer being harvested). Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do in order to get rid of these beasts. Thanks.

use a couple plastc tubs and put all your LR in hyposalinity for a few days.. and they will all come out and fal to the bottom of the tubs and then take the rock out and putthem in your new tank..unfortunalty you will loose all your pods too.. pick off all your snails and other inverts you can get.. you can even go FW for a long dip.. i had a similar issue.. went low salinity and higher temp for a few days.. i had abt 150 bristle worms dead on the bottom.. i went abt 84degrees and 1.010 salinity

not sure if there is any thing behind this but it worked for me..
