Has anyone used a Hydor ETH 300 external heater?

Ive hgad one for over a year now never been used because it was a mistake buy from when i was a "noob" so now i want to use it, i have thew tubes and everything to use it i just dont know how to get it to work since i lost the intructions...

anyone have any experience with these? are they good? should i just sell it? any input would be great

I have a 46g bowfront and i run a wet/dry filter w. no bio balls. have all LR rubble and might soon add a 10g refugium... running from DT---> refugium---> wet/dry--> DT

have about 85-100 lbs of LR all together.

any input on my refugium idea + Heater details will be appreciated.. Thanks!

foegwt im just gnna throw it away. it leaks electricity anyway... i got it to work... but.. it started making a weird noise.. and a few minutes later i went to fix som,ething in my wet/dry and got a reallllllly bad shock.. usually when i get shocked its only a small shock and thats because my floors wet and im stepping in the wet + touching my tank i get shocked.. but this time i had my shoes on.. touched the water and OUCH! realllly bad one...

how often does your tank shock you? a gfci could save your life.
