I completed this sometime ago got busy with some other projects so I havent installed it yet. I figure I'll just wait till my 450 is up and running.
My ORP has been in the mid 400MV range. at nite my ORP is as high as 480MV
and during the day and right before the lights go out it's 425-450MV

dont ask what I'm doing thats causing it? skimmer is a G4 with sedra 9000
I run a 25 micron sock and a reactor with 2lbs of Carbon

here's the finished product I plan to run it with a GenX submersible pump most likley the 4100
also pictured is the air drier

it's dangerous to you, enviorment, and the tank if not handled properly. thats why advocate using a reactor as opposed to a protien skimmer. with this set up you should have no ozone leakage. effluent fom the reactor flows through a reverse flow carbon reactor before returning to the tank/sump. also best to use a controller to avoid bleaching your tank

free Ozone with in the house over time will attack electrical extention cords, romex with the walls and is definitly not good for your lungs/health.

tony it's NOT good for the fishies or anything else that's living.

The point is that it kills everything, that is why Frank made that amazing reactor, to isolate the ozone from getting into the tank. it will just kill whatever makes it into the reaction chamber, once the water goes back into the tank that's it no ozone. the slaughter is contained to the reactor only, get it? You definitely do not want to be sucked into that reactor chamber lol.

ahhhhh so it will kill harmful bacteria and other bacterias or pollutants. gotcha.. thats a pretty good idea... so this is better then a uv. pretty much works the same way with having lights doing the work you have the ozone.

right, but remember the ozone does not care what kind of bacteria you are good or bad your toast. it will also turn any green or yellow causing agents in the water clear, they are still there, the ozone strips them of any color, thus keeping the water extremely clear.

480MV? WOW man, thats awesome. If lucky and meticulous you hear of 450 maybe, but that is all the guys using skimmers. I guess your reactor really kicks a$$ in terms of efficiency. Now yu need to market your reactor and you have a customer - me! :)

Thats without Ozone or the reactor!!! I havent even hooked it up other than water testing.
I'm going to make a couple of carbon chambers if you want I'll make you a ozone reactor LMK

Without? :shocked1: What I need to do is come over to your place and learn what you are doing right oh master!!!
What are the dimensions of your reactor and please post a pic of the setup when done. I am seriously interested!

I saw that puppy, live and in person. It rivals ANY commercial brand of reactor on the market. Frank has got his acrylic work DOWN PAT. I own an MRC Fluidized Media Chamber. Franks work will stand up right with MRC quality, hands down.

Now I think Frank needs to find a way to reincarnate Albert Einstein, cause he's the only one I know of that might have been able to create more than 24 hours in a day for Frank to do all this stuff!!!

It was suggested to me that the orp probes be cleaned with a solution of vinegar. I did so and my readings went down by almost 100. Try doing that to make sure your probe isn't dirty.

If you are using it on a skimmer, make sure you use carbon on the air vents. Some use carbon and the water exhaust side as well, that's totally up to you. I will be modifying my euroreef so that i can install some kind of carbon chamber to the lid to address the issue of any ozone escaping into the air.

Maybe someone can chime in, but if you have any concerns, follow the 30 something page thread on reefcentral, you will learn alot.

NYPD, let me know what reading you get if you clean it.
