i want to start making my own water instead of buying from the lfs.

what do i need?
i have a full basement with tons of room. i have a sink down there as well.

i was thinking of getting a garbage pale, powerhead and heater.
i want to put the purest water in there as well.

any info is appreciated.
thanks,
Valentin

Yes, but most people mix it a day in advance with a powerhead on because undissolved salt particles can burn corals, and you need the salt to be thoroughly mixed before using it so you can accurately know what salinity it is.

awesome. thanks for the info.
as far as plumbing is concerned, all i need to do is run a line into the ro/di from my faucet, then the output from the ro/di is the water i use?

any recommended brands of ro/di?

oh and btw, hi neighbor! i live in Staten Island but am in flushing (college point) every weekend to visit my family.
