My coral are growing like crazy. I am looking to landscape. Just a couple of quick questions.

Can I frag any coral on plugs?

I am looking to frag Kenya trees, mushrooms, verde montipora and pink birdsnest.

Thanks

Kenya trees usually 'frag' themselves...they can overgrow in your tank, so be careful what you wish for!
Mushrooms ...if you have multiples, and can separate them, they should continue to multiply...I prefer not to frag/cut them, but it can be done
Montipora and Birdsnest can be fragged

To mount softies on plugs you need to put a piece of toothpick through the stalk fairly close to the bottom. Use a small rubber band in conjunction with the toothpick to hold it it in place on the plug - it will attach itself within a few weeks, at which time you can remove the toothpick and rubber band.

I've glued Zoas and Palys onto plugs without too much trouble. Just be careful to only get glue on the stalk, and they should be ok with some time.

I had a lot more trouble mounting Xenia with glue, and the toothpick method didn't work for me either. I would recommend putting them in a segregated container / rack / whatever and let them attach by themselves, or drop them into a little crack in your rock.

Good luck!

For the Softies
You could also try putting some rock rubble in a small container(I've always used the small plastic take out containers). Put one cutting per container. Wait a few weeks for them to attach. Very easy.
