i bought my setup used from my lfs.
came with the tank, stand, lighting, sump and skimmer with pumps.

when they came to install, the lighting wasnt working properly.
1 out of the 3 lights worked fine, one was very weak and constantly flickering, and one worked fine but after 5 minutes would turn off.
they told me to bring the lamp by and they would have the unit fixed.
they have had the light for over a 4 weeks now. they are saying the guy who is fixing it is having problems. they keep pushing me off telling me that that he needs a couple of more days and yadda yadda yadda.

now im starting to get really pissed off.
what would you guys do???
i paid 1500 for my setup and a large portion of that money i thought was for the light.
they promised everything worked perfect and there were no problems.

i dont feel like dropping 1000 dollars on a new light, especially when i should own one that works fine.

im going to give it until next week then i am going to have to figure out how to proceed.

what would you guys do?

im pretty --- out of luck on this.

I personally would call them every day, several times a day asking them the status of the light. Do you have a sales receipt or some type of paperwork stating that the items you were purchasing have a warranty/will be repaired if not working properly? Hell, pay them a visit and demand that they either replace your light or repair it. Worse comes to worse speak to a lawyer, even for the sake of him contacting the store to strike some fear in to them.

Good luck.

not for nothing, a light that once worked perfectly fine should be repairable correct?????

i mean, everything is replacable.....i dont understand what takes so long.

if by next Wednesday i dont have some answers, i will have to take some sort of action. (no machete) lol
