Rebooting my 12g nano!

I have a nasty outbreak of red algae (Sarcodiotheca) I dont want to try to remove it or manage it, I'd rather just completely disinfect my tank and start over. My question is what am I able to use to clean the tank so that I may start the tank soon afterward? Also am I able to remove the softies (cut cleanly and attach to frags) that aren't affected and transport them to another tank or is that too risky?
