ATO Question

There are a lot of ppl who mix up 10 or more gal of kalwasser and use it as ATO water for the week. Can I do the same thing with the ESV 2 part ALK/CAL liquid?

Assuming yes...how much should I put in? Follow the directions on the bottle for ml per gal?

I dont think its the same thing. With the 2 part you have to figure out how much alk and calc you are using up and figure out how much of the 2 part you need to dose to keep up with the drop off. With the kalkwasser, your just adding the recommended dosage for the gals of water you have in your ATO res. That gets added slowly as the ATO does its job. Kalkwasser is ment to replenish evaporated water, the 2 part is meant to keep your levels stable with a certain dosage that pertains to each individual tank. If Im wrong about any of this please someone let me know

Yes I agree about the dosing being specific for each tank but if you know how much water you lose each day and you know how much alk and cal you dose per week you can figure out how much to put in no? Could be tricky but I'm sure there's a way.

I guess it sounds plausible but I've never tried it. I do use Kalkwasser in my ato and I love it. Its sooo much cheaper than the 2 part and its easier. If you do try the 2 part that way let us know how it turns out and how you figured out how much to put in( thats gonna be a lot of math lol)
