thanks for all the advice, led for some reason just seems more appealing, and the acan lighting unit is a pretty sexy device, but i am pretty interested in pendants also.

as for the glass canopy, i f take it off i am just concerned with evaporation, i would have to set up an ato and my 90 gallon bowfront cabinet is pretty tight, so i have to come up with a good system
right now i have a low evaporation r ate and only top off about 2 gallons every three days.
